“A Closer Look at Visual Literacy in ELT: Colors and Works of Art”
Our English lessons are usually multimodal experiences since we communicate through different modes: the linguistic, the visual, the aural, the spatial and gestural modes. In this workshop we will explore the inclusion of colors and works of art from the perspective of visual literacy to promote language development as well as critical thinking skills. Resources and practical activities will be shared and tried.
